Seared Scallops in Garlic Butter

Ingredients:

  • 10 Canadian Wild caught scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season scallops with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add lemon juice to the butter sauce and drizzle over the scallops before serving. Pair with crusty bread or a fresh salad for the perfect meal!
